The 73rd Annual Pest Control Technician’s School kicked off Jan. 24 in Durham with the Opening Session and General Membership Meeting. The event, which is sponsored by the North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA), is being held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Conference Center in Durham.

NCPMA Inaugural "Bug Cup" Charity Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Endowment

On Oct. 5, more than 100 golfers, volunteers and supporters with the North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) gathered at the Crooked Tree Golf Course in Brown Summit, N.C. for a charity golf tournament affectionally dubbed “The 2022 Bug Cup.” The tournament raised more than $10,000 to benefit NCPMA Charities and the NCPMA Extension Program Endowment in Honor of Mike Waldvogel.

72nd Annual Pest Control Technician's School Opens In Durham

The North Carolina Pest Management Association kicked off the 72nd Annual Pest Control Technician’s (PCT) School at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Conference Center in Durham on Jan. 25. The event attracted approximately 750 pest management professionals, making it the largest state-operated pest management conference in the country.

State pest management association grants highest honor The North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) recently inducted Mike Waldvogel, Ph.D., into its Hall of Fame, the association’s highest honor. Waldvogel is the former Extension Associate Professor & Extension Specialist at North Carolina State University’s Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology.

We are excited to again offer the Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) prep course and exam at the 2020 Pest Control Technician's (PCT) School. We launched this program at the 2019 PCT School, and had an incredible result. Seven of the nine participants passed the exam!

NCPMA Announces Winners of the 2018 Technician of the Year Awards

Association recognizes two technicians with statewide honor The North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) today announced the winners of its 2018 Technician of the Year Awards. The association honored Kevin Kimrey of Greensboro (pictured above left) with the Technician of the Year Award in the pest management phase, and Ernie Riddle of Brevard (pictured above right) was honored with the award for Technician of the Year in the wood-destroying insects phase.
