Jamora Hamilton Receives NCPMA Scholarship

The North Carolina Education Foundation of the North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) recently awarded a scholarship to Jamora Hamilton to assist in the continuation of her studies at North Carolina State University (NCSU). Hamilton is a doctoral student studying entomology.
The North Carolina Education Foundation awards $1,500 annually to students attending North Carolina State University. The scholarship was presented at the NCPMA Pest Control Technician’s School in Durham in January 2018.
Hamilton is focusing her research on investigating the chemical ecology and behavior of the German cockroach to improve cockroach management strategies. She received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Entomology at Clemson University and was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2016.
